I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
